Colonel Jason D. Allen

Col. Jason D. Allen is the Deputy Commander, 81st Training Wing, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. As the Deputy Commander, he assists and advises the commander responsible for the training of more than 27,000 military and civilians. The 81st TRW trains officers, enlisted and civilians from the Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and international partners. Keesler's technical training includes numerous electronic, computer, weather, medical, personnel, comptroller, and information management career fields, creating the combat capability for the Department of Defense forces.

Col. Allen commissioned in 1999 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, New Mexico State University, New Mexico. He has commanded at the squadron, expeditionary squadron, and expeditionary group levels. Prior to his current position, Col. Allen was the Division Chief, Deputy Directorate for Special Operations and Counterterrorism, J-3 Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Col. Allen has deployed in support of numerous operations including Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, NEW DAWN, and other worldwide contingencies.

He is a master navigator with over 2,985 hours in the U-28A, MC-130H, and WC-130J aircraft.
