Keesler Medical Center modernization project ribbon cutting

The Keesler Medical Center underwent an $80 million renovation project and a ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 at 9:30 a.m.

The new renovations allow for improved patient support services. Clinics, patient services and check-in locations were consolidated. Much of the outpatient and clinical areas of the medical center were renovated. There’s also an expanded Surgical Suite which added two general operating rooms, one endoscopy operating room and a new hybrid operating room.

Newly renovated departments and areas include:

  • Records/Release of Information
  • Laboratory Administration
  • Surgical Clinics/Urology/Vascular Lab
  • Inpatient Pharmacy/On-Call Rooms
  • Surgery: Operating Rooms
  • Nephrology/Dialysis/Hematology/Oncology
  • Chapel
  • TOPA/Warrior Support Cell
  • Medical Mall/Pathology
  • Internal Medicine
  • Minor Procedure Unit
  • Pulmonary Clinic
  • Cardiology Clinic
  • Behavioral Health
  • Dental Clinic
  • Staff Parking
