Contests bolster CFC total

Senior Master Sgt. Derek Fromenthal, left, and Tech. Sgt. Christopher Doss, both from the 81st Training Support Squadron, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., are winners of a Combined Federal Campaign fundraising competition. Fromenthal won a football throw competition with eight consecutive throws through a target at 10 feet. Participants paid $5 for 10 throws. Doss won a jelly bean count competition, guessing 3,315, when the actual total was 3,318. Participants paid $1 per guess. The contests raised $258 toward the base’s final CFC total of $186,370. The total was 136 percent of Keesler’s goal of $136,987. The campaign ended Oct. 21, 2011, at Keesler and ends Dec. 15, 2011, throughout the region. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
