November 2014 Discipline Corner

The following members of the 81st Training Wing were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice in November 2014.

 

Nonjudicial Punishment (Article 15s)

 

Failure to Go

 

1. A staff sergeant from the 335th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to go at the prescribed time to his appointed place of duty (in violation of Article 86, UCMJ).  His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.

 

Violate Other General Order

 

2. An airman first class from the 334th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for visiting off base lodging without the proper authority and soliciting an Airman to sign him in on the Weekend Accountability Roster (in violation of Articles 92 and 134, UCMJ).  His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

 

3. An airman from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully using Robitussin with the intent to alter mood or function (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was reduction to the grade of airman basic, restriction to Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi for 30 days, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.

 

Use of schedule I, II, III Controlled Substances

 

4.  A technical sergeant from the 81st Force Support Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully using morphine and oxymorphone (in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ).  Her punishment was a reduction to the grade of staff sergeant, forfeiture of $1,547.00 pay and a reprimand.
