February 2015 Discipline Corner

The following members of the 81st Training Wing were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice in February 2015.

 

Nonjudicial Punishment (Article 15s)

 

Alcohol Related Incidents

 

1.  An airman first class from the 334th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully possessing alcohol in the dormitory and wrongfully consuming alcohol within 12 hours prior to duty (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

 

2.  An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully consuming alcohol within 12 hours prior to duty and being incapacitated for the performance of his duties (in violation of Articles 92 and 134, UCMJ).  His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman basic, restriction to the limits of Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi for 10 days, and a reprimand.

 

3.  An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully possessing alcohol in the dormitory (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, 10 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

 

4.  An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  Her punishment was a reduction to the grade of Airman, with a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic, restriction to the limits of Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi for 30 days, 45 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

 

 

Violate Other General Order

 

5.  An airman basic from the 334th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully failing to adhere to call to quarters and operating a motor vehicle while in Initial Transition Period status (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was forfeiture of $250.00 pay and a reprimand.

 

6.  An airman basic from the 335th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to adhere to call to quarters and willfully failing to complete an Air Education and Training Command Form 29B before traveling more than 25 miles from the installation (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was a forfeiture of $335.00 pay per month for 2 months, restriction to the limits or Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi for 60 days, and a reprimand.

 

7.  An airman basic from the 335th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to adhere to call to quarters, visiting a hotel room without prior written approval, willfully failing to complete an Air Education and Training Command Form 29B before traveling more than 25 miles from the installation, and communicating indecent language to another airman (in violation of Articles 92 and 134, UCMJ).  His punishment was forfeiture of $773.00 pay per month for 2 months, restriction to the limits of Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi for 60 days, and a reprimand.

 

8.  An airman first class from the Detachment 6, 366th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for visiting and staying at a hotel room without prior written approval and violating curfew (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman, restriction to the limits of the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, Mississippi for 60 days, and a reprimand.

 

 

Failure to Go

 

9.  A senior airman from the 85th Engineering Installation Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to go at the time prescribed to his appointed place of duty on two separate occasions (in violation of Article 86, UCMJ).  His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman first class, 20 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

 

 

False Official Statement

 

10.  An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for willfully signing a false official statement without proper written authorization (in violation of Article 107, UCMJ).  His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

 

 

Simple Assault

 

11.  An airman from the 81st Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron was punished under Article 15 for violating multiple no-contact orders and unlawfully striking another person in the face with her fist (in violation of Articles 92 and 128, UCMJ).  Her punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman basic, forfeiture of $773 pay, and a reprimand.

 

 

Dereliction of Duty

 

12.  An airman first class from the 336th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for willfully using unauthorized study material and distributing actual exam content (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ).  His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
