March 2015 Discipline Corner

 

The following members of the 81st Training Wing were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice in March 2015.

COURT MARTIALS

1. A captain from the 81st Medical Operations Squadron was found guilty of making a false official statement, wrongful use of hydromorphone hydrochloride, wrongful use of morphine, and stealing hydromorphone hydrochloride, morphine, and Benadryl (in violation of Articles 107, 112a, and 121, UCMJ). His punishment was 45 days confinement and forfeiture of $1,500.00 pay per month for two months.

2. A senior airman from the 81st Medical Operations Squadron was found guilty of wrongful use of cocaine (in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ). His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman basic, forfeiture of $1,031.00 pay per month for three months, 49 days confinement, a bad conduct discharge and a reprimand.

3. An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was found guilty of failing to go at the time prescribed to his appointed place of duty, driving while under the influence and incapacitation for the performance of his duties (in violation of Articles 86, 111, and 134, UCMJ). His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman basic, forfeiture of $1,031.00 pay, 45 days hard labor and a reprimand.

4. An airman first class from the 81st Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron was found guilty of wrongfully appropriating the property of another Airman, unlawfully assaulting another Airman and adultery (in violation of Articles 121, 128, and 134 UCMJ). His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman basic and 20 days confinement.

NONJUDICIAL PUNISHMENT (ARTICLE 15S)

Alcohol Related Incidents

 

1. An airman first class from the 334th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully possessing alcohol in the dormitory and wrongfully providing alcohol to a person under the age of 21 (both in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). Her punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

2. An airman basic from the 335th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). His punishment was forfeiture of $773.00 pay, restriction to the limits of Keesler Air Force Base for 30 days and a reprimand.

3. An airman first class from the 336th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 and willfully failing to remain in his dorm room after curfew (both in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman basic and a reprimand.

His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman, a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic and a reprimand.

5. An airman first class from the 336th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for wrongfully consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic and a reprimand.

6. An airman first class from the 81st Medical Support Squadron was punished under Article 15 for consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). Her punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

Failure to Go

7. An airman from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to go to mandatory squadron physical training at the prescribed time (in violation of Article 86, UCMJ). He was found not guilty of making a false official statement (in violation of Article 107, UCMJ). His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand.

8. An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to go to mandatory morning accountability at the prescribed time (in violation of Article 86, UCMJ). His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

9. An airman first class from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for failing to go to mandatory morning accountability at the prescribed time (in violation of Article 86, UCMJ). Her punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

Dereliction of Duty

10. An airman basic from the 335th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for willfully using unauthorized study material on a block test (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). His punishment was forfeitures of $335.00 pay per month for two months, restriction to the limits of Keesler Air Force Base for 60 days and a reprimand.

11. An airman first class from the 335th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for willfully failing to adhere to call to quarters, willfully failing to complete an AETC Form 29B when traveling more than 25 miles from the installation, wrongfully visiting an off-base residence without prior written approval, wrongfully possessing throwing knives in the dormitory, willfully possessing unauthorized over-the-counter medication in the dormitory and wrongfully possessing a knife with a blade longer than three inches in the dormitory (all in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). His punishment was a reduction to the grade of airman, restriction to the limits of Keesler Air Force Base for 60 days and a reprimand.

12. An airman from the 338th Training Squadron was punished under Article 15 for negligently falling asleep at the charge of quarters desk (in violation of Article 92, UCMJ). His punishment was a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic and a reprimand.

13. A captain from 81st Medical Operation Squadron was punished under Article 15 for willfully failing to properly secure medication vials containing narcotics, willfully failing to properly dispose of used medication vials and wrongfully disposing of unused medication vials of a value of less than $500.00 ( in violation of Articles 92 and 108, UCMJ). Her punishment was suspended forfeitures of $2,609.00 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.
