KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. --  

Keesler hosted a Meridian High School JROTC group for a base tour on August 22, 2023. The group toured the Air Traffic Control, Airfield Management and Weather schoolhouses and also received a demo from the 81st Security Forces Squadron military working dog handlers. They finished their day at Keesler with a mission brief from Col. Billy Pope, Jr., 81st Training Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Michael Venning, 81st TRW command chief. 

Keesler hosts base tours for small groups of high school students in order to showcase the capabilities of the base, training facilities and instructors.
