Media advisory: Operation Hero returns
KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. --
Keesler Air Force Base will host its bi-annual event, Operation Hero, at the corner of Second Street and E Street from 9-11 a.m., June 15.
This event gives Keesler's dependent children an opportunity to experience what a deployment is like for their parents.
Children will receive a pre-deployment mission briefing, go through a deployment line to collect their gear, put on "war paint," and "deploy" to an undisclosed location.
