Keesler celebrates African American History Month
Keesler personnel view displays during the African-American Heritage Committee Luncheon at the Bay Breeze Event Center Feb. 20, 2018, on Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. The theme of African American History Month this year is “African Americans in Times of War.” Proceeds from the event will benefit the Col. Lawrence E. Roberts memorial scholarship fund which helps local youth pay for tuition, books and other academic costs. Roberts, a Biloxi resident and Tuskegee Airman, passed away in 2004.
