Keesler welcomes its newest Gold Star Family Member
U.S. Air Force Col. Lance Burnett, 81st Training Wing vice commander, pins a Gold Star Family Member lapel pin on the collar of Mary Buckley, daughter of U.S. Air Force Capt. Robert Gereer, inside the Sablich Center at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Feb. 15, 2019. Gereer served during the Korean War and was placed in a missing in action (MIA) status due to his remains not being found. As a surviving daughter of an MIA service member, Buckley is allowed to obtain an ID card for recognition and installation access so that she can attend events and access A&FRC referral services.
