The U.S. flag is displayed during a retreat ceremony at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, May 20, 2022. June 14 is Flag Day, a celebration of the history of the American flag and a time to remember proper etiquette for its display. Flag Day recognizes the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States on June 14, 1777, by the Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia. This is the 5th year that the Air Force Sergeants Association Chapter 652 has volunteered to place 1,000 flags along Larcher Blvd. and Meadows Drive. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
