Dragon medics host 6th Annual Mammothon

The 81st Medical Group is scheduled to host its 6th Annual Mammothon Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Keesler Medical Center.

The walk-in service event is open to all Defense Department beneficiaries and dependents.

“Free raffles will be held for attendees,” said Master Sgt. Victoria Cortez, 81st Diagnostic and Therapeutics Squadron specialty imaging section chief. “Come take charge of your health and help Keesler fight back against cancer."

Mammothon walk-in exams include:

- Mammograms

- Immunizations

- Well women exams

- Blood pressure screenings

- Colonoscopy pre-screening

- Bone densitometry screenings

- Vascular screenings

 

“For mammograms there’s going to be a wait,” said Cortez. “We usually have a line out the door.”
