Col. Marcia Quigley, incoming 81st Mission Support Group commander, took command from Col. Danny Davis, outgoing 81st MSG commander, during a change of command ceremony here July 19.

Col. Debra Lovette, 81st Training Wing commander, presided over the ceremony.

Quigley came to Keesler Air Force Base from the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Detachment 4, located at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

"I am honored and humbled to be joining team Keesler,” said Quigley. “I look forward to working with the base and the community leadership in keeping this the premiere training base for Airmen, families and community. I am honored and privileged to take this journey with you and to become your commander.”

Davis expressed his gratitude to the men and women of the 81st MSG in his final address as commander.

"Today I’ve completed my mission,” said Davis. “I’ve served with the men and women of the 81st MSG with all of my heart. I’ve done my duty. Thank you very much for the amount of responsibility we put on you."

Davis will be assigned to 2nd Air Force, Keesler Air Force Base, until he retires in September 2018, with more than 24 years of military service.
