Legal Assistance:  Airmen, retirees and their dependents are eligible to receive legal advice about a wide range of issues including divorce, child custody, adoption, landlord-tenant issues, SCRA, consumer affairs, wills, and powers of attorney. Tax Preparation Assistance: In addition to free tax software availability for active-duty military at Military One Source, Keesler AFB runs a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program through the IRS during tax season for all those eligible for legal assistance. For questions on walk-in hours or to schedule an appointment for a more complicated return, please call the legal office.

Personal Property and Injury Claims: If you would like to file a tort claim for damages or injuries, submit a Standard Form 95 to the legal office at the Air Force installation nearest to where the incident occurred.  Household Goods claims must be filed with the carrier or the Air Force Claims Center. Call the legal office for questions about claims or to file a claim.

Victim and Witness Assistance Program (VWAP): VWAP applies in all cases in which military criminal conduct adversely affects victims or witnesses of crimes under military law. A legal professional can provide information about resources available to victims and witnesses. Call the legal office to schedule an appointment with the VWAP coordinator.
