Chief Master Sergeant Jamie E. Munn is the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 81st Mission Support Group located at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. In this role, she is the primary advisor to the commander on enlisted matters, focusing on force utilization, mission effectiveness, training, readiness, personal and professional development, and morale of over 1,700 personnel. She leads six diverse squadrons to execute the installation’s combat support, logistics, and services activities for 114,000 military, civilians, dependents, and retirees. Chief Munn manages an annual budget of $126 million and oversees real property and equipment valued at $4.7 billion, including a fleet of 422 vehicles and 5,000 technical training assets. Her team administers $400 million in contract awards, coordinating efforts among 900 contract employees and maintaining 48,000 miles of communications infrastructure. Additionally, she actively advocates for Keesler with Mississippi and Gulf Coast leaders on issues affecting the base and surrounding communities.
CMSgt. Munn entered the Air Force in November 1999 as a Communications Computer Systems operator. Her background includes multiple overseas assignments and various leadership positions at the squadron, group and wing level. She has deployed in direct support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to her current position, she served as the Senior Enlisted Leader at the 325th Communications Squadron.
