Chief Master Sergeant Jonathan "Mark" Castleberry

CMSgt Jonathan “Mark” Castleberry is the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 81st Training Group, Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), Mississippi. He is responsible to the commander for the professional development, military readiness and mission effectiveness of more than 4,000 officer, enlisted and civilian personnel from all five Department of Defense services and international militaries. Chief Castleberry provides guidance to seven commanders and leads 1,300 instructors and staff who deliver 394 courses to more than 2,500 non-prior service Airmen and 500 temporary duty students daily. The group’s collective efforts produce over 27,000 graduates per year and directly enhance the operation Air Force’s lethality and readiness.

Chief Castleberry grew up in Farmington, Missouri, where he enlisted in the United States Air Force in September of 2001. His background includes multiple positions within the Civil Engineer enterprise & functional community which range from a myriad of Structural capacities, Heavy Repair Superintendent, and Prime BEEF Manager. Additionally, Chief Castleberry has served as CE Training Pipeline Manager, Mission Support Group Executive Officer, Society of American Military Engineers State President for Arkansas & Vice President for Washington. His assignments include bases in Delaware, Republic of Korea, Arkansas and Washington. He has also deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

Prior to serving in this position, CMSgt Castleberry served as the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 366 TRS Det 6 at the NCTC-Gulfport Mississippi until July 2023.
