Office of the Staff Judge Advocate
The Keesler Air Force Base Office of the Staff Judge Advocate (JAG) provides timely and accurate legal guidance to support the mission of the 81st Training Wing and its tenant units.
Mission
To deliver responsive, mission-focused, full-spectrum legal support and advice to commanders; develop legally ready Airmen through training, advocacy, and support to families; and sustain good order and discipline to enable the Wing’s global training mission.

What We Do
Advising Commanders: Providing expert advice on a wide range of legal matters, including civil law, contract law, labor law, environmental law, quality force management, and military justice.
Military Justice: Ensuring the fair and efficient administration of military justice through courts-martial and non-judicial punishment actions.
Claims Services: Processing tort and military claims act claims for property damage or personal injury. Claims for damages to household goods should be filed through your Transportation Service Provider in the DPS Claims Module (180 days from Delivery or less), through the carrier directly (9 months from Delivery or less), or through the Air Force Claims Service Center (9 to 24 months from Delivery)
Legal Assistance: Offering free legal services and advice to active-duty personnel, retirees, and their dependents on personal civil matters such as wills, powers of attorney, adoptions, landlord-tenant, tax assistance, and consumer law issues. Legal assistance officers are licensed attorneys who are assigned by the Air Force to advise and counsel members on personal legal problems.

Location: We are located at 500 Fisher Street, Sablich Center, Building 0701, Second Floor, Room 227.
Hours:
We are open for Notary Services, Powers of Attorney (POAs) and Claims on a Walk-In Basis, Monday to Friday, 0900–1500.
We are open for Legal Assistance on a Walk-In Basis on Thursdays, 0930–1130.
For Wills, Healthcare POAs, and Legal Assistance Appointments, we schedule appointments on Tuesdays between 1300–1500.
