Courses:

Technical Support Specialist

The course trains Airmen to perform duties for AFSC 1D73X1, Technical Support Specialist. The Technical Support Specialist course is designed to equip participants with a full range of technician work, understanding how the network infrastructure is configured and structured to support the client, being able to troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues and status (test port, activate port, etc.) as well as understand how the server environment and enterprise services support the client and troubleshoot and resolve/restore services (e.g., print server, authentication, permissions, etc.).

Software Developer

The course trains Airmen to perform duties for AFSC 1D734P, Software Developer. Training includes Basic Programming Concepts, Program Design, Advanced Program Design, Database Application, WEB Development, and Software Maintenance. The course immerses the students in an environment that seeks to mirror their future Air Force work areas as closely as possible, thus enabling them to become productive members of coding teams as quickly as possible.

Data Operations Specialist

The course trains Airmen to perform duties for AFSC 1D73X4, Data Operations Specialist. The Data Operations Specialist course focuses on ensuring the effective management of mission-critical information through diligent collection, storage, and monitoring. The comprehensive curriculum includes: Introduction to Data Operations, Safeguarding Data Integrity and Compliance, Database and Database Management, Tracking and Extracting Data from ELICSAR and ENVISION, Fundamentals of Programming Languages, Cloud-Based Systems, and foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.

System Administrator

The course trains Airmen to perform duties for AFSC 1D73X1B, System Administrator. Systems Administration Airmen design, install and support USAF network and computer systems. They ensure the systems operate properly and remain secure from outside intrusion. Additionally, they maintain networks, manage user accounts, respond to outages, service network interruptions and restore systems.

Cybersecurity

The course trains Airmen to perform duties for AFSC 1D7X5, Cybersecurity.  Cybersecurity Operations Airmen prevent, repel, and detect cyber-attacks ensuring the security of computer networks, online communications, and other national security systems. The design of this course is to introduce students to their roles and responsibilities in Cybersecurity Operations.

Cyber Fundamentals

Cyber Fundamentals is the course of initial entry and instructs Airmen in the basics of Network Fundamentals, Client Systems, Switching and Routing, Servers, and Cyber Security.

**Security+: 10 Days

The CompTIA Security+ Preparatory Course provided by the 336 TRS is a rigorous 10-academic day course that incorporates online curriculum, multimedia, and commercial resources.  Having the CompTIA Security+ certification validates the baseline skills you need to perform core security functions and operate on a DOD network.  The Security+ certification satisfies Information Assurance Technician and Management requirements; IAT II and IAM I respectively.

Supplemental Courses:

**Key Management Infrastructure (KMI): 15 Days

This supplemental course provides training to selected military and civilian personnel within the DoD and Civil agencies in the fundamental knowledge and skills required to perform and manage the delivery of key products and services over the network and capability for both clients and end cryptographic units to receive key products over the network.  The scope of this training consists of a system overview and management client administration, functions, and operations. 

**Emission Security Manager (EMSEC): 5 Days

This supplemental course provides training to selected military and civilian personnel within the DoD and civil agencies in the fundamental knowledge and skills required to perform the duties and responsibilities of EMSEC Managers.  This course will train EMSEC Managers on Air Force EMSEC program management, equipment and facility zoning, the EMSEC problem, specific countermeasures, conducting assessment and countermeasures reviews, the protected distribution system, the EMSEC classification guide and maintenance and testing.

**Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM): 10 Days

This supplemental course provides training to selected military and civilian personnel within the DoD and civil agencies in the fundamental knowledge and skills required to perform ISSM duties.  The scope of training includes ISSM roles and responsibilities, operational concepts, computer/network vulnerabilities, Risk Management Framework Assessment and Authorization process, network services and protocols, Cybersecurity Workforce Improvement Program, COMPUSEC evaluations, and eMASS data entries.

**Security Tools Foundries: 10 Days

This supplemental course provides training to selected military and civilian personnel within the DoD and civil agencies in the fundamental knowledge and skills required to effectively utilize and employ core Air Force enterprise cyber security services including Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Host Based Security System (HBSS), Automated Remediation and Asset Discovery (ARAD) and SCORE.

The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist course is designed to equip students with engaging knowledge and processes pertaining to securing, defending, and preserving DoD data applications, and networks. It addresses responsibilities for integrating cybersecurity controls into all aspects of cyberspace capabilities.

Mass Communication Foundations:

EBABD3N036 01AA, Mass Communication Foundations, 108 Days: Students in MCF learn and apply the concepts and skills needed in both the public affairs and visual information specialties.  They learn and apply design thinking principles to question effectively, identify problems, and provide a solution-based approach within a communications framework, applying the fundamentals of journalistic writing, still photography, videography, digital graphic design, and interactive multimedia in their products.  Students are introduced to and apply the fundamentals of English and journalism to news and narrative stories, captions, and video scripts.  Instruction includes public affairs internal and external communications, media, and community engagement, and preparing information for public release in accordance with Department of Defense directives. Students learn and apply basic photography fundamentals, including optics, light and color theory, composition, exposure and lighting, studio photography, and use a digital single-lens reflex camera to capture both still and motion imagery for historical documentation and in support of DoD themes and messages. Students learn digital audio capture methods and editing techniques. Students create video products to support military operations, training, and public affairs missions. The course culminates with both individual and group capstone exercises, where each student will demonstrate the ability to integrate and apply the diverse knowledge and multi-disciplinary skills attained throughout the entire integrated course.
