Eagle Scout hopeful leads troop to mark miles on Keesler tracks

At left, Winston Downing, 11, marks every quarter mile along the I-81 track while Harrison Wright, 13, paints the mile markers. Harrison, has taken big steps forward — literally — toward earning his Eagle Scout award with a project to mark the miles on Keesler’s tracks for the convenience of Keesler’s runners and walkers. Winston’s parents are Col. Glen and Vicki Downing, 81st Training Wing vice commander; and Harrison is the son of Lt. Col. Jonathan and Lisa Wright, 81st Mission Support Group deputy commander.
