All travel for permanent change of station, temporary duty assignments and deployments at Keesler booked through the Commercial Travel Office will undergo significant changes starting June 1.

The contract for flight ticketing is transitioning from Wingate Travel to Travco Travel and may affect travelers in multiple ways.

"All the information that everybody is used to using on Keesler is about to change," said Andrew Burton, 81st Logistics Readiness Squadron travel manager. "Specifically, how personnel get service through the telephone numbers will change."

Employees with will stay the same, but the contract itself will be slightly different.

Key differences include possible fees that travelers might incur and the fact that itineraries will all be electronic from now on. There will be no paper receipts for financial reimbursements, only transmissions via email.

These changes are a part of a regularly-scheduled contract change.

"The new contract service fees are lessened in comparison to the past," said Burton. "The new process will save the military money, but there will be a bit of a transition period."

The phone numbers customers are accustomed to will be changed to commercial numbers only, no DSN phone number options.

To contact Travco, call 855-804-4945 or 855-324-7648 after hours. The fax number is 866-575-2753.
