The 81st Medical Group graduated its first diagnostic imaging Phase II class since Hurricane Katrina Oct. 10.

Senior Airman Danielle Hudak and Airman 1st Class Jacques Jeanniton Jr. received their graduation certificates after more than a year of training.

The students completed 16 weeks of Phase I at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, before arriving at Keesler for the nine-month Phase II program.

According to Lynnette Biglane, one of two course supervisors, Phase I consisted mainly of classroom training, with a small amount of clinical on-the-job training. During Phase II, students received both classroom and clinical instruction.

The two phases offer a total of 2,072 hours of schooling.

Airman Hudak is assigned to Tinker AFB, Okla., and Airman Jeanniton to Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
