Gaudé Lanes hosted the Gulf Coast U.S. Bowling Congress Association's Annual mixed doubles handicap tournament March 30-April 1.

Ruby Koenig and Eric Rivers, Biloxi, took the top spot and the first prize, bowling a 1,302.
A mixture of 86 active-duty and retired military, civil service and coast civilian bowlers made up the 43 teams registered in the tournament.

The teams were made up of one man and one woman each bowling a three-game series. The total number of pins with handicap per team determined the winners.

Gaudé Lanes is normally closed Sundays, but opened its doors for the tournament.

The teams played for cash prizes, but the actual amount awarded won't be announced until all the scores are verified according to tournament officials.

In addition to Koenig and Rivers, making the cutoff of 1,212 for cash awards were: Marcia and Marvin Potts, Saucier, 1,294; Catherine Varble and Steven Savage, Indian Orchard, Mass., 1,277; Mary Parrott and James Squier, Gulfport, 1,216; Kathleen Mosteller and Paul Dufrene, Picayune, and Alison and Adam Barnes, Biloxi, 1,212.
