The fall semester ends with CCAF graduation

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The Community College of the Air Force presented 163 associate degrees to 145 enlisted students at the Fall 2014 Commencement Ceremony, Nov. 4 at the Bay Breeze Event Center.

Col. George Tombe, 81st Training Group commander, presented the diplomas, and Senior Master Sgt. Heather Moody, Mathies Noncommissioned Officer Academy director of education, gave the commencement address.

All 51 graduates who attended the CCAF Graduation Ceremony received an Embry Riddle Aeronautical University $200 scholarship award that can be applied to textbooks and supply costs.

Two graduates, Tech. Sgt. Mark Gerald Bautista and Senior Airman Bianca Wade from the 81st Medical Operations Squadron, received additional awards during the ceremony. Awards included $400 Air Force Association Pitsenbarger Award, $200 Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Excellence Award, $100 University of Southern Mississippi Textbook Scholarship Award and $100 William Carey University Excellence Award.
