Carothers Construction contractors began demolishing the Keesler Medical Center’s main D wing structure Aug. 25. The demolition, scheduled to be completed by Oct. 17, is being done to make way for the new $68 million inpatient tower. Construction on the new tower is planned to start in late October, with completion scheduled for October 2011.
