Marine aces weather course
Marine Corps Cpl. Richard Duran Jr. graduated Monday from the weather forecaster ap-prentice course in the 335th Training Squad-ron with a perfect score. Corporal Duran, who hails from Big Bear Lake, Calif., is the first student to ace the joint-service course since it was started in 1999. The Marine Corps portion is 142 academic days broken into 15 blocks, including 11 written measurements. Corporal Duran will remain at Keesler for the meteorology and oceanography analyst forecast course, which lasts 20 training days.
