Keesler marches to honor veterans Published Nov. 5, 2008 By Keesler Public Affairs Staff Keesler Public Affairs KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, MISS. -- Members from each unit on base participate and march in the 8th Annual Gulf Coast Veterans Parade, 11 a. m. Saturday in Biloxi. The parade begins at the IP Casino at the intersection of Caillavet Street and Bayview Avenue and ends in front of the Hard Rock Casino at the intersection of Lameuse Street and Highway 90. Prior to the parade, base leadership attends a ceremony with community leaders to kickoff the event. Keesler's Speakers Bureau also reaches out into the surrounding area for two Veterans Day speaking engagements. Chief Master Sgt. Paul Moreau, 2nd Air Force command chief, talks to students, parents and faculty at Biloxi High School today about the importance of honoring our veterans every Nov. 11. The chief is also the keynote speaker at the International Trade Club's annual Veterans Day breakfast buffet in Mobile, Ala., Tuesday. Lt. Col. John Thomas, 338th Training Squadron commander, speaks about his deployment experiences at the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce's annual Veterans Day breakfast at City Hall in Bay Minette, Ala., on Tuesday.
