Tricare patients can go online to schedule appointments Published Nov. 5, 2008 By Tech. Sgt. Natascha Jones-Williams 81st Medical Support Squadron KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, MISS. -- People needing appointments at Keesler Medical Center can book them online instead of calling the central appointment desk. Log on to http://www. tricareonline.com and click on "My Health." After agreeing to the Web site terms, complete registration. Common access card holders may use their cards and personal identification numbers, while others must set up a username and password. The site allows users to book urgent and non-urgent appointments based on their needs. For example, people should not schedule a physical exam in a routine appointment slot. Urgent appointments are used for urgent appointments only. Selecting the correct appointment slot allows the system to work the way it was intended. Appointments are automatically booked with the individual's primary care manager. If the PCM is unavailable, the user is given the option to make the appointment with another provider in the same clinic. All active-duty members should register themselves at the online site when they arrive at Keesler. Family members must be registered separately. To report any problems with Tricare Online or for more infomration, call the Tricare office, 376-3101.
