Based on the probability that Hurricane Gustav will impact Keesler AFB and the surrounding area, the Air, Education and Training vice commander has determined that movement of personnel, both temporary duty and permanent change of station, be stopped effective immediately. This advisory is in effect until further notice.

All personnel, including technical school graduates, projected for temporary duty and permanent change of station, who have not outprocessed from their current duty station and are projected to relocate to Keesler AFB or any duty location serviced by this base should not depart. Personnel must remain at their current duty station until further notice.

All military members currently stationed overseas who have not yet departed the overseas area for Keesler  will not be permitted to proceed until further guidance is provided. Personnel, who have departed the overseas location must, upon arrival at port of entry, report immediately to the nearest military personnel flight.

For those personnel who are on leave enroute and leave has expired may report to the military personnel facility commander at the nearest installation to their leave address upon completion of leave.

Personnel departing their losing base who are projected to take leave enroute (leave must not be within the stop movement area), they may do so with the understanding that if stop movement is not lifted by the time the military member's leave is over, all excess days will be charged to their leave account.

Personnel with projected temporary duty  to or from Keesler AFB  or surrounding areas should remain in-place until further notice. Personnel scheduled to return to Keesler AFB after completion of duty must remain in place until further notice.
