The winner's circle for Friday's drill down has morphed into a revolving door.

The 338th Training Squadron Dark Knights were replaced as overall winner by the 332nd TRS Mad Dogs due to a scoring error, according to Senior Master Sgt. James Lane, superintendent of military training operations for the 81st Training Group.

"There was a glitch with our scoring system that had a trickling affect," Sergeant Lane explained.

The Mad Dogs, fifth out of six teams in the season's first competition Feb. 22, came growling back, claiming first place in open ranks and regulation drill to clinch the overall title for April.  The team didn't place in freestyle drill.

Second place overall went to the Gators from the 334th TRS, winners of the February contest.  The Gators placed first in freestyle drill, second in open ranks and third in regulation drill.

The Dark Knights, overall winner for 2007, earned third place honors, with a second place in regulation drill and third in freestyle drill.  The team didn't place in open ranks.

Members of the winning team from the 338th TRS are Airmen Basic Christopher Coe, Sarah Knauff, Michael Perkins, William Reed and Jeffrey Williams; Airman Nicholas Tappa and Airmen 1st Class Richard Derby, Anthony DeRocco, Steven Gershowitz, Joseph Pecora, Michael Ramsey and Steven Stout.

The next drill down is 6 p.m. July 17 on the drill pad behind the Levitow Training Support Facility.
