"These upcoming events are a wonderful chance for brave single moms and dads to come out with their older kids for a morning of team-building, confidence-boosting and good old-fashioned exercise," said program manager Paula Spooner. The program for single moms and their children is 9-11 a.m., May 17 and another for single dads and their children is 9-11 a.m., June 21. They are being held at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jackson County campus on Highway 90 in Gautier. There is no cost and they are open to anyone with base access. Spooner added, "Please be sure you can attend before registering." Per MGCCC guidelines, children must be 12 years of age or older. A maximum of 30 participants can be accommodated for each session so Spooner encourages interested parents to register as soon as possible. She added priority will be given to those who have not attended previous FAP Ropes events. Register by calling Spooner at 376-3459 or email paula.spooner@us.af.mil .
