Pediatric clinic to offer school and sports physical day Published May 6, 2014 By Steve Pivnick 81st Medical Group Public Affairs KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The 81st Medical Support Squadron Pediatric Clinic offers a School and Sports Physical Day from 8-11 a.m. May 31. "We will do well exams on children from age 5 to 18 by appointment only," said Maj. Julia Bradley, Pediatric Clinic nurse manager. Sponsors need to bring completed school and sports physical forms with them to the appointment. They may pick up generic forms from the clinic prior to the appointment. "There are usually many questions that a parent can answer better than the provider and it saves time if the form is completed ahead of time" Bradley explained. Appointments are for school and sports physicals only. No medication refills or other health concerns will be addressed. Since only a limited number of appointments are available, Bradley urges sponsors to call the medical center appointment line, 1-800-700-8603, as soon as possible starting May 5, the date the appointments will become available. "Complete your child's physical now so you don't have to worry about it later," Bradley said. "Since physicals are good for an entire year, any activities requiring one during the next year will be covered."
