Brig. Gen. (Dr.) Kory Cornum, 81st Medical Group commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Col. Winnie Lok-Park, 81st Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron pharmacy flight commander and hospital volunteer liaison, said volunteers assist in the pharmacy, at the escort and information desk in the clinic entrance lobby, hospital chapel, tumor registry and radiology. "Between January and November 2013, the medical center volunteers assisted patients with more than 12,606 hours, which, at an estimated value of more than $279,000," said Lok-Park. "Those working at the information desk provided 17,620 assists, including answering questions and providing directions and medical center maps, and 2,717 wheelchair movements."
