TRICARE Online is the Department of Defense's online patient-focused portal that provides access to available health-care services and information that supports patient participation in their health and health-care experience, including online appointments, prescription refills and "Blue Button" personal health data.

Those eligible for a TOL account include TRICARE beneficiaries and their family members who are at least 18 years old and receive care at a military treatment facility. Parents can book patient appointments for their children under their personal accounts.
There are three types of accounts that can be used to access TOL: Premium DOD self-service logon, DOD Common Access Card (CAC) and Defense Finance and Accounting Services "myPay."

"Blue Button" allows access to personal health data. It lets authorized TOL users -- those logging into TOL with their CAC, Premium DOD self-service logon or "myPay" accounts - to download and print their laboratory results, outpatient medication profile, allergy profile, problem list and encounter data.

Patients using the appointment center can schedule, view, set reminders and cancel primary care and select self-referral specialty appointments for themselves and their family members.

By employing prescription refill, patients can request prescription refills for pick up at the Keesler Medical Center's satellite pharmacy at the base exchange, check prescription status or link to the TRICARE mail order pharmacy to schedule home delivery.

Finally, health education provides access to health-care information and services.
