Fitness on demand Published Aug. 19, 2013 By Lisa Campbell 81st Force Support Squadron KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Dragon Fitness Center unveils the latest addition to their already diverse fitness program - Fitness on Request - a kiosk-based video fitness tool. The new equipment enables groups or individuals to take instructor-led fitness classes on demand. The kiosk is fully loaded with seven fitness genres and more than 40 unique courses. Class styles include dance, yoga, cycling, circuit training, kickboxing, step aerobics, cardio and core training. Once a user selects a style, it is projected onto a large screen and the virtual instructor begins leading the class. Class length varies from 20-50 minutes. "Though we have a great group fitness program here at Keesler, this equipment gives us an opportunity to expand," says Bill Jinske, sports and fitness director. Each month, more than 20 instructor-led group fitness classes are offered at Blake and Dragon Fitness Centers. "Our customers' fitness interests and schedules vary and we do our best to meet the demands, but Fitness on Request helps us bridge the gap by allowing customers to take the classes they want when it's most convenient for them." Fitness on Request is located in Dragon Fitness Center in the second floor group fitness room, giving individuals or group's privacy while taking their class. The equipment is free to use.
