The 10 day/80-hour course prepares course developers for analyzing and converting traditional training programs to the online / blended environment and prepares online course facilitators with necessary instructional strategies for facilitating an online course. NOTE: It is highly recommended that students who enroll in this course have the knowledge gained from an ISD course as this material is not retaught and is needed on day 1. Examples of courses that can satisfy this requirement are Basic Instructor Course (BIC), Application of Instructional System Development (AISD), and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) or any course that teaches Instructor Methodology.

This faculty development course is available through Keesler AFB Faculty Development via distance learning (MyLearning) with daily synchronous sessions. The course has numerous assignments daily and completion deadlines which require the student's unhindered attention. Students should be considered TDY in place. Therefore they should not be on TDY status, simultaneously enrolled in another course, or conducting normal duties, which would impact their ability to meet deadlines. Consider these factors prior to enrollment in the course. If conflict may arise, consider an alternate enrollment date.

Enrollment Procedures:

Students must contact their Unit Training Manager (UTM) for official course requests. UTMs must forward scheduling requests to the 81TRSS/FacD Scheduling organizational inbox in the global address list (GAL) or 81trss.tsf3@us.af.mil
