Keesler hosts 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony

Sailors stationed at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Keesler will hold a 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony at Alho Manor here Sept. 11 at 7:30 a.m.

The ceremony will provide attendees a gathering and focal point to pay respects to the nearly 3,000 individuals killed and more than 6,000 injured during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on American soil.

During the ceremony, servicemembers will stand in formation as a narrative of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, is read. The ceremony will conclude with the presentation of morning colors at 8 a.m.
