Keesler offers walk-in exams at Mammothon Oct. 19

The 81st Medical Group will host its seventh annual Mammothon Oct. 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Keesler Medical Center. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Mammothons help promote awareness and preventative care.

Department of Defense beneficiaries and dependents can take advantage of this walk-in service event if they are eligible for care at the Keesler Medical Center. Mammogram patients assigned to an off-base primary care doctor will need a signed order from their provider. Walk-in exams will include:

  • Mammograms
  • Immunizations
  • Well-woman exams
  • Colonoscopy pre-screening
  • Bone density screenings
  • Vascular pre-screenings
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Skin cancer screening
  • Knee joint screening
