KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The 81st Medical Group will host its seventh annual Mammothon Oct. 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Keesler Medical Center. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Mammothons help promote awareness and preventative care.
Department of Defense beneficiaries and dependents can take advantage of this walk-in service event if they are eligible for care at the Keesler Medical Center. Mammogram patients assigned to an off-base primary care doctor will need a signed order from their provider. Walk-in exams will include:
- Mammograms
- Immunizations
- Well-woman exams
- Colonoscopy pre-screening
- Bone density screenings
- Vascular pre-screenings
- Oral cancer screening
- Skin cancer screening
- Knee joint screening
