Air show closes road and facilities

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- As Angels Over the Bay gets ready to take off there are several closures on and around the base the people should be aware of.

The Back Bay area will be closed effective March 17 and 18 from noon to 5 p.m. and March 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A map of the restricted Back Bay area is available at http://www.keesler.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-110310-053.pdf.

Also, Ploesti Drive will be closed from just north of the Pass Road gate to the intersection of Ploesti and First Street, noon to 5 p.m. today and Friday for air show practice.

Ploesti Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday during the air show. The Bay Breeze Event Center, Bay Breeze Golf Course, Marina Park and any other buildings on the closed section of the road are closed during these periods.

The Rodenburg Gate is open during these closures to allow access to Bayridge housing residents.
