KEESLER HOSTS MISSISSIPPI SPECIAL OLYMPICS SUMMER GAMES

KEESLER AFB, MS -- IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

What: Keesler AFB will host the 42nd anniversary of the Mississippi Special Olympics Summer Games, May 14-16.

Where: Various locations depending on the event. Click for event schedule.

Note: The opening ceremonies will be held Friday, May 14th at 8:00 p.m. on base in the Levitow Training Support Facility.

Background: Keesler has hosted the event for more than two decades. Last year more than 1,300 athletes, coaches and caregivers from across the state passed through Keesler's gate. Also more than 3,000 volunteers from the base and the local area donated their time to help make the event a success.
