Tim Davis Special Tactics Memorial March 

What: Twelve combat controllers divided into two-man teams will be making a ruck sack march from San Antonio, Texas to Hurlburt Field, Fl. Each man will be carrying a 50lb ruck sack as well as a baton engraved with the name of a fallen teammate. 

When: 14 Oct at approximately 12:30 P.M. 

Where: Passing Hwy 90 and White Avenue, Biloxi, MS. 

Interviews: Master. Sgt. John Wylie, 334th Training Squadron, Combat Controller instructor. 

Background: Staff Sgt. Tim Davis, a Combat Controller, was killed in action in Afghanistan, Feb. 20, 2009. This relay is in honor of him and all Special Tactics teammates who lost their lives in the line of duty, The combat controllers began their march 6 Oct. at Medina Annex, Lackland Air Force Base, Tx, which is where each Combat Controller begins their career at. Their journey will total 824 miles and take eight-nine days to accomplish, ending at Hurlburt Field, Fl, where the combat controllers will meet up with additional teammates, family and friends during their annual Combat Controller Association Reunion, Oct. 17. The two-man team making the march along the Mississippi Gulf Coast is two Keesler members combat controller instructors.
