Keesler Medical Center appointment services change Published Dec. 7, 2006 By 120706 KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss -- Appointment services for Keesler Medical Center change Dec. 15. According to 1st Lt. Renee McClennon, 81st Medical Support Squadron TOPA (Tricare Operations Patient Administration) Flight operations officer, appointment services' new days and hours will be Monday-Friday, 5 a.m.-6 p.m. (5-6 a.m., active-duty military only). Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (when on a weekday) services are available 5 a.m.-2 p.m. Appointment services are closed weekends and federal holidays. Keesler Air Force Base and the medical center operate on a two-week compressed work schedule (CWS). The first week consists of four, nine-hour days (Monday-Thursday) and an eight-hour Friday. The second week consists of four, nine-hour days, with the Friday a "down" day: all non-essential services closed. Most clinics are open with reduced staffing on CWS Fridays. All clinics are closed on federal holidays.
