The Inspector General (IG) Office consists of two unique sections. There is a complaints resolution section (IGQ) and an inspection and exercise section (IGI).
The IGQ section administers the IG Complaint Resolution Program, and serves as the commanders' eyes and ears to be alert to issues affecting the organization. They are also responsible for collecting data to support SAF/IG centralized screening. The IG maintains high Inspector General visibility by speaking at commander calls, newcomer orientations and various unit events.

The IGI section administers the Wing Commander’s Inspection Program that includes horizontal, vertical and by-law inspections. The Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) program is managed by IGI to ensure the Wing continually is in compliance with all programs. All wing-level exercises are planned utilizing the Wing Inspection Team (WIT) to ensure continual readiness to face any threat to the installation. The IGI office is the point of contact to deconflict outside agency/inspections by using the gatekeeper scheduling program.
