Mission:
The mission of Health Promotion is to coordinate, evaluate, and promote installation- specific, evidence-based interventions that support healthy behavior change to optimize health and resilience in the 81 TRW and Keesler community.

Vision:
The recognized leaders in facilitating the transition from a culture of healthcare to a culture of health.

Health Promotion provides services to promote healthy lifestyles primarily in the areas of:
Tobacco Use Cessation and Prevention, Nutrition Education and Fitness Enhancement on both a provider and self-referral basis.

Health Promotion operations are governed by AFI 40-101, Health Promotion Program, AFI 40-102, Tobacco Use in the Air Force and AFI 40-104, Health Promotion Nutrition.

Health Promotion interacts with local and state agencies to provide outreach events and services and develops and initiates awareness, education, and preventative plans centering on the key modifiable lifestyle behaviors listed above.  Other prevention-based programs (model self-care initiatives) are included as supplementary initiatives and directed by population need.
