Trainer development saves money, innovates
Jack Waldroup, 81st Training Support Squadron, solders connections on an enhanced terminal voice system volume control panel June 6, 2013, at the Trainer Development Center, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., for equipment upgrade to be used in the 334th Training Squadron air traffic control course. Recycling the previous cabinetry, built in 1994, with upgrades in electronics and software and matching the existing color scheme as seen in the field has allowed for over $2.1M in cost savings.
