Airman's Oak plaque
During a dedication ceremony April 23, 2013, an “Airman’s Oak” plaque was placed in front of the live oak tree located on the corner of Meadows and First Street, at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. The live oak is one of the largest and oldest on base. In 1941, the road was constructed around the tree so that it would not have to be removed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
