Airman's Oak plaque
Chief Master Sgt. Angie Johnson, 81st Training Wing command chief, and Brig. Gen. Brad Spacy, 81st TRW commander, insert an “Airman’s Oak” plaque in front of the live oak tree located on the corner of Meadows and First Street during a dedication ceremony April 23, 2013, at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. The live oak is one of the largest and oldest on base. In 1941, the road was constructed around the tree so that it would not have to be removed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
