Keesler child overcomes challenges with activity
Emily Doane, 7, daughter of Jessica and Master Sgt. Michael Doane, 2nd Air Force, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., got down-and-dirty for the Spartan Mud Run obstacle race Nov. 10, 2012, in Perkinston, Miss. Emily was born nine weeks premature with underdeveloped lungs, spent a month in neonatal intensive care and was diagnosed with asthma when she was 4 years old.
