Operation Hero
Sgts. Charles Steinruck and Matthew Petitgout, Keesler Marine Detachment, assist Akeem Farquharson, 3, and his brothers, Ardennie Jr., 10, and Kimani, 8, with flipping a large tire during Operation Hero Oct. 13, 2012, at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Operation Hero is presented twice a year to give parents a chance to expose their children to what happens when they leave home for deployments tasking or on temporary duty.
