Exercise tests response to active shooter
Chaplain (Capt.) John Schuetze, 81st Training Wing, Master Sgt. Erika Stoyko, 81st Training Support Squadron, and Maj. Harold Hobgood, 81st Logistics Readiness Squadron, set up a scenario where Stoyko portrays a military spouse and has been notified by Hobgood and Schuetze that her spouse has been killed by a gunman during Keesler's active shooter exercise, June 13, 2012, at the Arnold Annex, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. The two-day exercise consisted of a lone gunman opening fire with four people killed and 32 injured. The exercise tested the base's ability to respond and recover from a mass casualty event.
