Exercise tests base response to active shooter
Dawn Hitchings, 81st Medical Group and exercise evaluation team member, applies moulage to Staff Sgt. Julia Berger, 81st Logistics Readiness Squadron, who portrayed an individual who was wounded during Keesler's active shooter exercise, June 11, 2014, at the Keesler Medical Center, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. An Air Force student simulated opening fire at the hospital after feeling he was wrongfully diagnosed. The exercise tested the base's ability to respond to and recover from a mass casualty event.
